The agreement is a partnership between the BLM and the Oregon National Guard for use of an additional 43 acres in central Oregon for training. Brown called the agreement a "win-win-win" situation for the Oregon National Guard, the BLM and the surrounding community of Redmond and Bend. The lease agreement also allows Oregon to take advantage of federal funding for improvements at the training site.
