Oregon Military Department employee to receive National level Environmental Award
 
James Arnold, Restoration Manager for the Oregon Army National Guard will receive the Secretary of the Army, Environmental Security Award, Environmental Restoration, Individual award for his work with the Oregon Army National Guard.

In a ceremony to be held at the Joint Force Headquarters of the Oregon National Guard, 1776 Militia Way SE, Salem, Ore. at 2:30 p.m. on April 23, 2008 Robert W. Rodriguez, Principal Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) will present the award on behalf of the Secretary of the Army.

James Arnold was recognized in 2006 when he received the Oregon National Guard Meritorious Service Medal. The medal highlighted his work, specifically calling out his demonstration of outstanding ability and initiative in supporting Oregon Army National Guard environmental programs - and his leadership within the Army National Guard, notably becoming the "go-to" man for environmental issues.

Attached is a document outlining Arnold's' accomplishments in the Environmental Field which earned him the Secretary of the Army Award.
