Oregon National Guard aircraft to help transport Legacy Emanuel medical team to Medford, Ore.
 
The Oregon Army National Guard dispatched a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter to transport a medical team from Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland to the Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, Ore.

According to the hospital's Director of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Bill Long, the patient faces a life-threatening condition. A Lifeflight aircraft was unavailable at the time of request to transport the medical team.

The aircraft departed Army Aviation Support Facility #1 in Salem, Ore., at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Emanuel contacted the Oregon National Guard's Joint Operations Center for assistance.
