Oregon National Guard holds mass enlistment
Portland, Ore. - The Oregon National Guard will conduct a mass enlistment ceremony at 3:00 P.M. today, Friday 28 September, at the Portland Military Entry Processing Center (MEPS). The MEPS is located at 2107 NE Columbia Blvd. Major General Alexander H. Burgin, the Adjutant General of the Oregon National Guard, will personally swear in approximately 15 soldiers into the Oregon Army National Guard and recruits entering other services as well. These enlistments are a direct result of the recent attack on America.

 In addition, Maj. Gen. Burgin will be available at 2:30 at the MEPS to answer any questions regarding the current situation, to include the current status of the Oregon National Guard's plan to augment security at Oregon's airports.
