|Aviation unit trains for deployment with 24-hour operations at Camp Rilea
CAMP RILEA, ORE.-Beginning Wednesday, June 5, 2002, the Oregon Army National Guard's 1042nd Medical Company (Air Ambulance) from Salem will be conducting night training missions at 500 to 800 feet above ground level at Camp Rilea, training for deployment to Fort Bragg, NC, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
There will be an increase in military activity in the area, as soldiers fly 24-hour training missions from June 5-15. The UH-60L Blackhawk helicopters will be taking off and landing during the night hours.
This advisory is sent to reassure the public that this is a training mission, and is no cause for alarm.
