Bravo Company, 52nd Engineers receives mobilization orders
Salem, Ore. - The Oregon Military Department announced the receipt of mobilization orders in support of Operations Enduring Freedom/Noble Eagle, for Bravo Company, 52nd Engineers with elements in Albany and Warrenton, Ore. The mobilization order is for 146 soldiers for an initial period of one year.
These soldiers drill at the Albany National Guard Armory and at Camp Rilea on the northern Oregon Coast. As combat construction (Heavy), the units consists of trained electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and heavy equipment operators. The mission of this units is construction, such as shelters, main supply routes, airstrips, roads etc.
A mobilization ceremony is planned for Monday, February 17, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the Albany National Guard Armory located at 3800 Knox Butte Road. Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski, Major General Alexander Burgin, The Adjutant General and Brigadier General Raymond Byrne Jr., 41st Brigade Commander, will preside over the mobilization ceremony.
Members of the media are encouraged to attend this event along with family and friends of these soldiers as they prepare to move to their mobilization station in Ft. Carson, Colo.
