Oregon Army Guard Military Air Rescue Team enroute to Klamath Falls to aid in search for toddler
One UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter equipped with the FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared System) will depart the Army Aviation Support Facility in Salem, Ore. at approximately 8:45 p.m. this evening enroute to Klamath Falls, Ore. The estimated time of arrival for the Blackhawk is 9:30 - 9:45 p.m.
A three years old female has been reported missing in Klamath County and authorities there have requested the assistance of the Oregon Army National Guard to assist in the search efforts. The child apparently wandered off and is believed to be missing in a marshy area near Klamath Falls.
Klamath County Sheriffs officials are in charge of the search effort.
Piloting the Blackhawk are Maj. Ulvin, Second Lieutenant Thornton with flight medic Sgt. Jason Branch and crew chief Staff Sgt. Werneth.
