Oregon National Guard's 1st Battalion 186th Infantry to welcome three new commanders
Change of Command ceremonies will take place Dec. 10 for three units of the 1st Battalion, 186th Infantry Regiment, headquartered in Ashland, Ore.
D Company, 2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry is scheduled to change command at 8:00 a.m. at the Coos Bay armory located at 255 N. Norman Ave.
Lt. Rick Lenardson will assume command of the company from the outgoing commander, Cpt. Scott Hildebrandt.
Under transformation, D Company, 2nd Bn. 162nd Inf. will become B Company, 1st Bn. 186th Inf. during a Re-flagging Ceremony immediately following the Change of Command.
 C Company, 1st Bn. 186th Inf. is scheduled to change command at 12:00 p.m. at the Roseburg armory located at 111 NW General Ave.
Lt. Paul Dyer will assume command of C Company from the outgoing commander, Cpt. Jeffrey Copeck.
A Company, 1st Bn. 186th Inf. is scheduled to change command at 3:00 p.m. at the Medford armory located at 1701 S. Pacific Highway.
Cpt. Gary Repp will assume command of A Company from outgoing commander, Cpt. Travis Lee.
During the traditional ceremonies, the organizational Colors, known as the unit guidon, for each company will be passed from each outgoing company commander to Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Todd A. Plimpton who will pass down the Colors to each new incoming company commander.
Col. Cameron Crawford, Deputy Commander of the 41st Brigade Combat Team, will be present at each ceremony to represent the Brigade.
