Oregon National Guard will host Fallen Heroes' Memorial Ceremony June 4
The Oregon National Guard will host a Fallen Heroes' Memorial Ceremony to honor fallen heroes and their families at 10 a.m. on June 4 at Heritage Park in Salem, Ore.
The ceremony will recognize and honor the fallen heroes' service and sacrifice to the Global War on Terrorism.
Fallen heroes to be recognized include Spec. Nathan W. Nakis, 1st Lt. Erik S. McCrae, Sgt. Justin L. Eyerly, Spec. Justin W. Linden, Spec. Eric S. McKinley, Spec. Ken W. Leisten, Staff Sgt. David J. Weisenberg, Sgt. Benjamin W. Isenberg, Sgt. David W. Johnson, Sgt. 1st Class Mark C. Warren, Staff Sgt. Kevin D. Davis, Staff Sgt. John Ogburn III.
Brig. Gen. Raymond C. Byrne Jr. will speak. Music will be provided by The Oregon State Defense Force Bagpipe Band and Westside Singers. Presentations will be made to the families of the fallen heroes.
Heritage Park will be the future home of the Oregon National Guard Fallen Heroes' Memorial.
Heritage Park is located next to the Oregon Military Department at 1776 Militia Way Southeast off Airport Road and Mission Street. Parking attendants will be on site to direct traffic.
