Oregon National Guard recruiters open new storefront
Recruiters of the Oregon Army National Guard will open a recruiting storefront in the Gateway Mall in Springfield, Ore. on Saturday, Aug. 6. The Grand Opening runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and a ribbon cutting ceremony takes place at 10:30 a.m.
Recruiting for the Oregon Army National Guard is typically done through armories, but the new storefront will increase the visibility of citizen-soldiers in Oregon's second largest population center.
The Army National Guard recently announced several new incentives including up to $10,000 in bonuses for non-prior service personnel and up to $15,000 for those with prior military service. The Army National Guard recently increased its Student Loan Repayment from $10,000 to $20,000.
Media and the public are invited to visit the Gateway Mall recruiting office.
