Official Demobilization ceremony set for Fox Troop, 82 Cavalry
 
On Friday, January 20, 2006 at 12 p.m., at the Kliever National Guard Armory located at 10000 33rd Drive NE, Portland, OR., the troopers from Fox Troop, 82 Cavalry, Oregon Army National Guard will be formally demobilized after spending a years in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
 
Governor Ted Kulongoski, Congresswoman Darlene Hooley and Major General Raymond F. Rees, the Adjutant General will be on hand to officially welcome them home and commend them for the successful completion of their missions in Iraq.
 
Family, friends and media are encouraged to attend this ceremony.
 
Beginning at 10 a.m. prior to the 12 p.m. ceremony, the troopers will be inducted into the Order of the Spur , an event considered to be a rights of passage for cavalry scouts.

They will also be an Awards ceremony on Friday morning where these fine soldiers will be awarded medals earned during their deployment.
