Oregon Army National Guard's 102nd Civil Support Team to hold demonstration
 
Brooks, Ore. – The Oregon National Guard's 102nd Civil Support Team will hold a demonstration on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Marion County Regional Fire Training Facility in Brooks, Ore. The facility is located at 4910 Brooklake Road NE in Brooks, Ore.
 
The media is encouraged to attend. There will be opportunity for interviews with key members of the 102nd Civil Support Team, who will also be participating in a full-scale capabilities demonstration involving first responders and civilian volunteers.
 
The 102nd is one of 55 full-time teams throughout the country authorized by Congress to assist first responders at a Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) incident. The unit was federally certified on July 24, 2006, and can now be called upon to respond to incidents throughout the state of Oregon. They are also a part of the National Response Plan.
