|Media invited to Salem to interview soldiers who returned from Kuwait.
Thirty-seven Oregon National Guard soldiers from the 41st Personnel Services Company, based out of Salem, are administratively de-processing today and tomorrow from their 18 month tour of active duty service in support of the Global War on Terror as part of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. The unit spent one year serving in Kuwait.
Media is welcome at the Anderson Readiness Center, 3225 State Street, Salem, Ore., today and tomorrow for interviews with these soldiers. Please contact the Oregon National Guard Public Affairs Office at 503-584-3917 to make coordination.
The demobilizing soldiers are from Beaverton, Canby, Corvallis, Gresham, Hubbard, Lebanon, Milwaukie, Monmouth, Mt. Angel, Oregon City, Pendleton, Pleasant Hill, Portland, Salem, Tangent, Toledo, Turner, Lewiston, Idaho and Naselle, Wash.
Media and the public is invited to attend the official Demobilization Ceremony for the 41st Personnel Services Company Tuesday, October 24 at 4:30 p.m. at the Anderson Readiness Center.
Congresswoman Darlene Hooley, Mr. Danny Santos, Senior Policy Advisor for Governor Theodore R. Kulongoski, and Maj. Gen. Raymond F. Rees, Oregon Adjutant General, will join other senior Oregon National Guard officials to welcome the unit home during the Demobilization Ceremony on Tuesday.
Mo's Restaurants/ Newport Pacific Corporation will provide a complimentary meal to everyone in attendance at the Demobilization Ceremony Tuesday.
