The Oregon Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion 218th Field Artillery, of the 41st Brigade Combat Team, will be reorganizing this weekend in two separate ceremonies.

Bravo Battery will formally and publicly be recognized as an official and operational battery within the 2-218th FA BN located in McMinnville, Ore., during a Reorganization and Assumption of Command Ceremony on Saturday, February 11 at 9:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the McMinnville Armory, 333 Armory Way.

HHB has also moved from the Jackson Armory in Portland, Ore. and will now assume control of the Forest Grove Armory, which was previously operated by Headquarters and Headquarters Company 1-162 Inf. Bn., which was inactivated due to the Army Transformation initiative. HHB 2-218th FA Bn. will now carry on the lineage of the inactivated HHC 1-162 Inf. Bn.

In addition, a new unit to the Oregon Army National Guard, Golf Forward Support Company, of the 141st Brigade Support Battalion, will be activated and uncase its colors during the ceremony. This new company will also operate out of the Forest Grove Armory as the forward support element to the 2-218th FA Bn.
