|Army National Guard to launch helicopter to aid in recovery of woman injured near Cascade Locks
One UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter from the Army Aviation Support Facility based in Salem, Ore. is preparing to launch at the request of the Hood River Sheriff's office. A 26 year of woman who had been on horseback on the Herman Creek Trail #406 near Cascade Locks, has suffered a severe compound fracture to her leg and will need to be airlifted to Legacy Emanuel Hospital for treatment.
Major Wickenhagen and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Almberg will pilot the airframe, Sgt. Justin Thomas is the crew chief on board and Sgt. Jason Johnson is the flight medic.
