Media Advisory: Arrival of Pvt. 1st Class Ryan Hill in Oregon today
 
Out of respect for the Hill family, at this time media is asked not to attend the arrival of Pvt. 1st Class Ryan J. at Flightcraft this morning in Portland, Ore.   The arrival of Hill at this location is a private time for the family.
 
Media is welcome to film the procession today from Portland to the AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home in Albany, Ore.  The procession will travel 205 to I-5 to Albany, they will exit I-5 at Exit 234B for arrival at the funeral home.
 
Funeral Services for Hill, who lost his life in an IED blast in Iraq on January 20, 2007, will be held on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Peoples Church, 4500 Lancaster Drive NE in Salem, Ore.
 
Preceding the Memorial service will be a procession from Albany to Salem.  Upon entering the City of Salem, the procession will proceed to the Oregon State Capitol Building where a short ceremony and moment of silence will be held.  All are invited to participate in this ceremony.
 
American Flags will be distributed to all who attend at the Capitol Building that morning.  The ceremony is slated to begin at 9 a.m.  Jon Moritz of the Patriot Guard Riders will play Amazing Grace on the Bagpipes, Steve Slater, Youth Minister and now missionary from the Assembly of God Church will offer a prayer.  This will be followed by moment of silence and the ringing of the church bells in the downtown area.
 
The procession will then move down Court St. to Liberty turning north and then traveling to Keizer onto River Road North.  Turning west onto Chemawa Road to enter the McNary High School parking lot.  They will then depart the school via Chehalis to Lockhaven Drive and head east to Portland Road NE.  They will then turn left onto Lancaster Drive to the Peoples Church.
 
Following the ceremony, there will be a reception for close family and friends at the Peoples Church.
 
The soldier will then be transported in a procession from the church for internment at Willamette National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.  All are invited to attend the ceremonies.
