Updated - Overflow location set for Memorial Service for Sgt. Zachary McBride
Due to the limited space at the Eastmont Church, the Oregon National Guard Armory located at 875 SW Simpson, Bend, Ore. will be used to accommodate the overflow from the Church service. The service will be simulcast from the Eastmont Church to the Armory location. Doors will open at 11 a.m. at the Armory. Point of contact for additional information is Capt. Below is brief overview of the services as determined to date.
Opening instrumental - Trumpet solo - Brad Barret
Mr. Bob Shaw to lead singing of the Hymn, "Eternal Father Strong"
Opening Prayer - Paster Lowick
Reading of the Obituary - Mr. Shaw
Remarks - Governor Ted Kulongoski
Remarks - U.S. Representative Greg Walden
Remarks - Major General Raymond F. Rees, representing the U.S. Army
Publishing of the Orders for Awards to be read by Sgt. Kenneth Mandell, Escort Officer and presented by Maj. Gen. Rees. Awards to consist of 1. Bronze Star, 2. Purple Heart, 3. Army Good Conduct Medal, 4. Iraq Campaign Medal, 5. Combat Infantryman Badge.
Explanation of the "Fallen Soldier Memorial" read by Sgt. Mandell
Presentation of Coins explained by Mr. Shaw
