The Oregon National Guard and will have a ribbon cutting ceremony to open the Westside Family Assistance Center Tuesday, May 27, at 3:30 p.m. Congressman David Wu will participate in the ceremony at the Miller Armory in Forest Grove.

"It is crucial that military members and their families have access to support services," said Congressman Wu. "With the opening of the new Family Assistance Center, more Oregon families will have resources available through all stages of deployment. I am honored to be cutting the ribbon on a facility that will make it easier for our brave men and women to serve their country while knowing that their loved ones are being cared for back home."

The center contains classrooms, private rooms, and computers with internet access for military families to use. Tours of the facility are available from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on May 27.
