|Oregon Army National Guard supports Mt. Hood Rescue
The Oregon Army National Guard will support the Clackamas County Sheriff's office in a rescue effort on Mt. Hood using a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.
The UH-60, which is specially configured for rescue operations using a hoist, will launch from the Army Aviation Support Facility in Salem this morning.

There are approximately 3,000 soldiers and airmen from the Oregon National Guard deployed around the world in support of federal missions, yet nearly 5,500 troops and a variety of equipment remain in the state to support domestic needs.
