Yellow Ribbon Career and Benefits Fair at Clackamas Community College to help Oregon military
Clackamas Community College will hold a Yellow Ribbon Career and Benefits Fair, June 26.

The event is to assist Oregon National Guard Soldiers of the 41 Infantry Brigade Combat Team, who have recently returned from a year-long deployment to Iraq. However, the event is also open to all National Guard, Reserve, Active Duty and veterans, in addition to their family members and spouses.

With only about two weeks to go before the start of the fair, the response has been overwhelming, says the college's veterans affairs coordinator, Greg Myers.

Over 100 service providers and employers are expected to attend the event. In addition to private institutions and companies, state and local agencies will have information booths, displays, vendor tables, and consultants present at the event. Vendors will also hold classroom workshops and briefings to assist people with employment, resume preparation, and benefit information.

The career and benefits fair is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with registration starting at 9:00 a.m. The campus is located at 19600 S. Molalla Ave, in Oregon City. The event will also feature live entertainment and lunch. Oregon Senator Ron Wyden is scheduled to speak at the event.
