The 22-year old man identified by Vancouver Police as shot during an early morning
altercation with police officers on Sept. 7, 2010 in Vancouver, Wash., was a member of the Oregon Army National Guard for two years.

Vancouver Police positively identified the deceased as Nikkolas W. Lookabill, an Oregon Army National Guard Specialist attached to the 3-116 Cavalry, based in Woodburn, Ore.

Lookabill joined the Oregon Army National Guard in 2008, and participated in
the recent deployment by the Oregon Army National Guard's 41st Infantry

transitioning back to their families, jobs or schools and their local
