UPDATE: Oregon National Guard responds to flooding near Burns
Approximately 25 Oregon National Guard Soldiers continue to assist Harney County local responders.
Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 82 Cavalry, headquartered in Bend, Ore and with units across the state, have filled more than 13 thousand sandbags since arriving, 18 May.
Humvee and other military trucks have been used to move the sandbags to protect from flooding.
The Soldiers are scheduled to return to their home stations later this evening.
