Media Day for 14th Sentry Eagle air-to-air Exercise, 22 July 2011

Kingsley Field to host 14th Sentry Eagle air-to-air combat exercise
 
WHO: Members of the 173rd Fighter Wing will host the 14th Sentry Eagle air-to-air combat exercise. Over 400 military personnel from the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines are expected to participate in this year's Sentry Eagle.
 
WHAT:       Sentry Eagle provides military pilots of the National Guard, active duty and reserve components a forum in which to test their flying skills including; basic fighter maneuvers and air combat tactics against different types of aircraft, close air support and large force employment training. There will be a multitude of aircraft to include F-15s, F-16s, F-18s, F-5s, F-117s, B-1s, KC-135s.
 
A Media Day has been established to accommodate the numerous requests for interviews, photos and video. Media Day will provide news reporters and journalist with an overview of Sentry Eagle, a KC-135 Air Tanker flight with an air-refuel, take-off and landing visual opportunities and an F-15 aerial demonstration.
 
WHEN: Media Day: July 22; 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Media Day itinerary attached)
 
WHERE:      Kingsley Field, 173rd Fighter Wing
            211 Arnold Avenue, Klamath Falls, Ore.
            Parking for Media Day will be on-base at the Kingsley Field Gymnasium
 
NOTE:       To participate, credentialed media must contact the Kingsley Field Public Affairs Office no later than Jul. 8 at (541) 885-6308 or send an e-mail to jennifer.shirar@ang.af.mil. The following information must be included in your RSVP: Name, affiliation, type of media (print, radio, broadcast, photographer), contact details (phone and address), country of citizenship (if U.S. citizen, provide your social security number), lunch is $4.25, please indicate if you plan to participate in tour 1 or tour 2.  A valid photo identification will be required on Media Day.
