Oregon National Guard State Partnership delegation in Bangladesh
SALEM, Ore. - A ten-member delegation is in Dahka, Bangladesh today, in support of the Oregon National Guard State Partnership Program. The delegation from the Oregon National Guard is participating in a collaborative session with medical experts from Armed Forces Division, Bangladesh to exchange ideas and best practices on mass casualty care during disaster events.
A key area of focus between Oregon and Bangladesh is improving partner capacity to respond to disaster events and provide humanitarian assistance.
This is the initial collaboration will provide the  ground work for future opportunities and continue to build on professional relationships.
The State Partnership Program currently provides 63 partnerships between states and nations. The program continues to grow every year. It is endorsed at both the National Guard Bureau level and the State Department.
