Chief of National Guard Bureau Scheduled to Visit Oregon National Guard
PORTLAND, Ore. - The Chief of the National Guard Bureau, Gen. Craig R. McKinley, will visit the Oregon National Guard this weekend to celebrate the grand opening of the 41st Infantry Division Armed Forces Reserve Center at Camp Withycombe in Clackamas, Ore.  He is also scheduled to speak at the Oregon National Guard's Senior Leadership Workshop, also in Clackamas.
During his visit, McKinley is scheduled to meet with the Port of Portland's Director of Aviation, Mr. Steven H. Schreiber and other Port officials to show appreciation for 60 years of partnership between the Port of Portland and the Air National Guard.

Located on the southeast side of the Portland International Airport, the Portland Air National Guard Base has been cooperating with the Port of Portland to protect the skies overhead in the Pacific Northwest for over 70 years.
Today, the Oregon Air National Guard's 142d Fighter Wing flies F-15 Eagle fighter jets in support of the Aerospace Control Alert mission providing air security 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Approximately 1,100 full and part-time personnel support the Oregon Air National Guard's 142d Fighter Wing. Annual payroll for Portland Air National Guard Base personnel is nearly 42.6 million dollars.  Each year Portland Air National Guard Base awards about five million dollars in public works and construction projects to local small businesses and engineering firms.
