Oregon ATV Safety is a youth rider endorsement program developed by the 4-H Youth Development Program at Oregon State University with assistance from Team Oregon. The program is managed from the OSU Extension Office in Redmond, Oregon by David White, PhD and OSU Associate Professor. The program started May 1, 2011 and offers evaluation of rider skills to youth ages 6 to 15 on Class I quads and Class IV side-by-sides throughout the state.
Pre-registration at www.oregonatvsafety.com is strongly encouraged. Go to the OPRD training locator for classes and contact numbers, or contact evaluators directly
Riders must have and fit their own quad, a DOT approved helmet, goggles, gloves, boots, long sleeve shirt, and full length pants.
