Assessing Oregon's Heritage & Preservation Resources
Restored historic barn, Tillamook County, Oregon Survey will help identify needs of a range of heritage groups in the state
The Oregon Heritage Commission has launched an assessment of the status of Oregon heritage and preservation resources, including the threats they face. The assessment is the first step in developing long-range, statewide strategies for Oregon's heritage resources.

In addition to compiling existing data found in diverse locations, the assessment includes online and downloadable surveys. Among those surveyed will be archaeologists, archivists, museums, cemeteries, certified local governments, and preservationists.

Notice Regarding Historic Properties Open Houses
Senate Bill 192 that was passed during the 2009 Legislative Session contained revisions to the Special Assessment of Historic Property tax benefit program. One of those revisions in the bill was the elimination of the open house requirement, therefore, we will no longer be posting a monthly open house list.
