The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) continues to work on a new master plan for Nehalem Bay State Park located on the Tillamook County coast. Published materials related to the master planning process are available for review at this web site, including the draft master plan and periodic newsletters that inform the public about meeting schedules, comment opportunities and progress on the plan.

| Revised Draft Master Plan Now Available for Review |
|
A new draft of the master plan for Nehalem Bay State Park dated June 2009, is now available for review at this web site. This draft includes changes from the December 2008 draft that were made following advisory committee and public meetings held in January and a written comment period that ended March 1st.

| Public Hearing Scheduled |
|
OPRD has scheduled a public hearing on the Nehalem Bay State park Master Plan June 2009 Draft. The purpose of the hearing is to accept comments on the content of the draft master plan that will be considered in making any final changes before it is adopted. The hearing is scheduled at the following time and place:
When: July 22, 2009, 6:00 p.m.
Where: Nehalem Bay State Park

| Written Comment Period |
|
OPRD will be accepting written comments on the draft master plan for a period of 30 days following the July 22 public hearing. The deadline for submitting written comments is August 21, 2009.
