The park’s Welcome Center is located two miles inland via Beaver Creek Road from Highway 101 and the Ona Beach State Park boat ramp. For more information visit oregonstateparks.org/park_261.php. Make Your Own Glass Shell
Join Ryan and Tia Bledsoe, glass blowers and owners of The Edge Glass Blowing Studio and Art Gallery, and make your own blown glass piece. At this exclusive event, conference participants are invited to drop into the gallery to view artists and the glasswork in progress. Test your skill as you make your own glass seashell in just 30 minutes in the gallery’s hot shop. Choose from a set of nine different color programs, (pre-mixed batches of color), roll it up in your color choice, heat it in a 2200 degree furnace and then drop it into a shell mold, catch it on fire again, and then press it into form. This is a great introduction to the world of glassblowing. You will be able to take your work of art home with you at the close of the conference.

The Edge Art Gallery and Glassblowing Studio is located on Highway 101 just half a mile south of the Yaquina Bay Bridge in Newport. Take a virtual tour of the gallery at theedgeartgallery.com.
