A complaint is an issue brought to the attention of the Board that may or may not result in formal charges as provided in ORS 672.665. The primary objective of the Board is to reach compliance with Oregon laws and rules and to avoid further formal action.
Board staff will acknowledge complaints received in the Board office. Following a preliminary review by staff, the complaint will be referred to the Compliance Committee for evaluation. The Committee will investigate the complaint and provide a report to the Board for their action (see Compliance Flowchart ).
The Public Member chairs the Compliance Committee of the Board. One other professional is assigned on a case-by-case basis.
Additional information may be found in statutes (ORS 672.655 through 672.690) and in rule (OAR 809, Division 55).
