Board of Nursing Disciplinary Actions Taken in October 2013

Grant County
  • The Board revoked the nursing assistant certificate of Cinimon A. Derowitsch (200110162CNA), of Monument, Ore., for exploiting the client relationship for personal gain, and a Theft conviction.
    Lake County
  • The Board revoked the nursing assistant certificate of Cynthia A. Sinor (200212796CNA), of Lakeview, Ore., for using intoxicants to the extent injurious to herself or others.
Lane County
  • The Board suspended Wayne S. Lowry’s nursing assistant certificate (201011093CNA) for 30 days for client abuse and neglect, and failing to communicate information regarding client status to the appropriate person in a timely manner.  He resides in Springfield, Ore.
  • The Board placed Kelly E. Deering’s Registered Nurse license (200742016RN) on probation for 24-months for the unauthorized removal of drugs from the workplace, and using intoxicants to the extent injurious to herself or others.  She resides in Cheshire, Ore.
  • The Board reprimanded Lillian A. Best’s Registered Nurse license (087003036RN) for practicing nursing while impaired, and using intoxicants to the extent injurious to herself or others.  She resides in Eugene, Ore.
Multnomah County
  • The Board revoked the nursing assistant license of Jennifer M. Sanchez (200112863CNA), of Portland, Ore., due to a Criminal Mistreatment conviction, exploiting the client relationship for personal gain, and failing to cooperate with the Board during an investigation.
  • The Board placed Caitlin Lee’s Registered Nurse license (094000396RN) on probation for 24-months for the unauthorized removal of drugs from the workplace, and using intoxicants to the extent injurious to herself or others.  She resides in Portland, Ore.
  • The Board placed Sydney C. Brulja’s Registered Nurse license (201043143RN) on probation for 24-months for the unauthorized removal of drugs from the workplace, and practicing nursing while impaired.  She resides in Portland, Ore.
Umatilla County
  • The Board placed Susan E. Gorbett’s practical nurse license (200430290LPN) on probation for 24-months for client neglect, inaccurate recordkeeping, and failing to conform to the essential standards of acceptable nursing practice.  She resides in Hermiston, Ore.
Wasco County
  • The Board revoked the Registered Nurse license of Laura F. Dunn (200341401RN), of The Dalles, Ore., for unauthorized removal of drugs from the workplace, using intoxicants to the extent injurious to herself or others, and failing to cooperate with the Board during an investigation.
Out of State
  • Utah—The Board revoked the Registered Nurse license of Cayetana D. Brand (201340337RN), of Orem, Utah, for unauthorized removal of drugs from the workplace, failing to dispense medications, inaccurate recordkeeping, and failing to conform to the essential standards of acceptable nursing practice.
  • Washington—The Board accepted the voluntary surrender of Linda M. Carlich’s Registered Nurse license (075034853RN) for violating the terms and conditions of the Health Professionals’ Services Program.  She resides in Longview, Wash.
  • Washington—The Board revoked the nursing assistant certificate of Ludvig P. Gilbertson (200910413CNA), of Long Beach, Wash., for failing to cooperate with the Board during an investigation.
