The Nursing Education Advisory Group (NEAG) reviews issues related to nursing education and summarizes findings that may be presented to the Board of Nursing, including:
  • National examination pass rate trends.
  • Adequacy of nursing faculty.
  • Adequacy of clinical placements.
  • Reviews of Oregon Administrative Rule 851-021 (Nurse Practice Act Division 21--Standards for the Approval of Educational Programs in Nursing Preparing Candidates for Licensure as Practical or Registered Nurses).
  • Review surveys sent to schools of nursing.
