Marine Board Approves Foster Reservoir Boating Facility Improvements

Linn County received a grant from the Oregon State Marine Board to replace and relocate the transient tie-up and abutment at the Lewis Creek Park on Foster Reservoir.  The Marine Board approved the grant at its quarterly Board meeting on April 7, in Wilsonville.
The Board approved $94,509 in state funds which will be combined with a $20,000 in-kind contribution by the county.  The projected total cost is $114,509.
Because Foster Reservoir has a relatively stable water level throughout the year, a diverse boating population exists –from high speed racing to non-motorized boat use.  The proposed improvements would provide boaters with a safe and stable facility for mooring while using Lewis Creek Park.
