Willow Creek Park District Receives Grant for New Boarding Floats

The Willow Creek Park District received a grant from the Oregon State Marine Board to replace a vault toilet at Willow Creek Park.  The Marine Board approved the grant at its quarterly Board meeting on April 7, in Wilsonville.

Willow Creek Reservoir is the largest and most used waterbody in Morrow County next to the Columbia River.  The reservoir provides multi-use boating and angling opportunities.  The Park District leases the park on the reservoir and provides a boat ramp, parking and other recreation facilities.  The existing restroom at the boat ramp will be replaced with an ADA compliant restroom.

The Board approved $30,000 which will be combined with a $2,500 in-kind contribution.  The total projected cost is $39,500.
