| Marine Board Meeting Scheduled in Salem April 14 |

The Oregon State Marine Board will hold their quarterly meeting on April 14 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Salem office, located at 435 Commercial Street N.E.
The Board will consider rulemaking on the Willamette River that would create a 5 mph slow-no-wake zone within 100 feet of the Salem waterfront transient dock. The Board will also be asked to consider a petition and open the rulemaking process seeking a no-wake-zone in the Holgate Channel between Ross Island and the east bank of the Willamette River, as well as a motor ban in the Ross Island Lagoon. Willamette Riverkeeper, the Urban Green Spaces Institute and the Portland Audubon Society submitted the petition in late March.
