Current charts are an important aid to boaters. Hazards such as tidal flats, wing dams, rocks, ship wrecks and other features are not always visible to a boat operator but may be marked on a chart. Charts can also help anglers find fishing areas by looking for underwater structure attractive to certain fish species.
The following locations are currently listed by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) as providing marine charts. Most chart sources will also carry other local maps and information useful to boaters. Also visit http://www.noaa.gov/charts.html
