Marine Board Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Adopt-A-River Program Rules

The Oregon State Marine Board seeks public comment on proposed rules that would identify a list of invasive species that are approved for removal by groups participating in the program, along with protocols to follow and the development of best management practices to guide program activity.            
The 2011 Oregon Legislature, through HB 3157 directed the Marine Board to update the Adopt-A-River Program. These rules will clarify program compliance and requirements. 
 
The public meeting, beginning at 4:00 pm, is scheduled for December 28, at the Marine Board office, 435 Commercial Street NE, Salem, OR.  Written comment will be accepted beginning December 1 through December 31.
