Marine Board Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Aquatic Invasive Species Rules

The Oregon State Marine Board seeks public comment on proposed rules that would allow mandatory boat inspections and clarify program compliance and requirements.            
The 2011 Oregon Legislature, through HB 3121 and 3399 directed the Marine Board to update the Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Permit Program and create rules for boat inspection stations which these rule changes accomplish.
Written comment will be accepted beginning December 1 through December 31.  The public meeting, beginning at 5:00 pm, is scheduled for December 28, at the Marine Board office, 435 Commercial Street NE, Salem, OR.
