State law provides specific public access to criminal history record information through the programs noted below.  State of Oregon criminal history records may only be obtained through the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division in Salem. 
A.      The Open Records Program provides criminal history on an individual other than yourself.  Limited access to another person's criminal history record information is available based on name and date of birth, not fingerprints.

  2. Register:  Register with Open Records to obtain a business account. This is only for requesting a business account, not for running criminal history checks.
  3. Registered Users: Log in if your business is already registered.
  4. Online Request: Non-registered users may request and pay for a criminal history check online.
  5. Open Records Request Form:  This form may be used by individuals desiring a criminal history check, but prefer not to request or pay online.

B.     The Copy of Own Record Program provides criminal history information on yourself.  Full access to obtain a person's own criminal history is available only through positive fingerprint identification.
