| OSP Traffic Stop Leads to 5 lbs. of Methamphetamine, Two Arrests - Interstate 5 south of Ashland | ||

The two were lodged on drug-related charges at the Jackson County Jail. According to OSP Drug Enforcement Section (DES) Sergeant Jim Johnson, on June 3, 2010 at approximately 6:45 a.m. an OSP trooper stopped a 2000 Ford Mustang displaying Washington license plates northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 10 for a speed violation. During the traffic stop OSP troopers discovered approximately 5 pounds of methamphetamine concealed inside the vehicle. The methamphetamine has an estimated value of $100,000. The two occupants were taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Jackson County Jail on the following charges: Driver FRANCISO PENUNURI-GASTELUM, age 27, from Seattle, Washington. * Unlawful Manufacture, Delivery and Possession of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine Passenger CONRADO RODELO-QUINTERO, age 29, from Everett, Washington. * Unlawful Manufacture, Delivery and Possession of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine OSP troopers were assisted in the investigation by detectives from OSP Drug Enforcement Section, detectives from Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement (MADGE) team, and detectives from Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
