The family has failed to return home as expected by November 27th and were reported missing. A Missing Person bulletin is currently on the San Francisco Police Department website at www.sfgov.org/police at the following link http://www.sfgov.org/site/police_index.asp?id=37978. On Friday, November 17, 2006, JAMES KIM, his wife, KATI KIM, and their two children, PENELOPE KIM and SABINE KIM, left on a road trip to Seattle, Washington. The family was known to have left Seattle and was reportedly last seen by friends in Portland on Saturday, November 25th. After leaving Portland, they reportedly were headed to Gold Beach where they may have had plans to stay at a local lodge while still enroute to San Francisco. When the family failed to arrive as expected by Tuesday, and no one heard from them by Wednesday, San Francisco police were contacted and the missing family and vehicle have been entered into a national law enforcement computer data base as missing. Co-workers and family members are concerned for their safety. The KIM's are known to always keep in touch daily either by phone or e-mail with friends and co-workers. On Thursday, November 30th, Portland Police Bureau initiated an ATL (Attempt to Locate) bulletin to Oregon law enforcement agencies along the Interstate 5 corridor and coast with information to assist with locating the missing family. Portland Police believe the family did leave the Portland area. The family's vehicle is described as a silver 2005 Saab 900 station wagon displaying California personalized license plate DOESF. The missing family members are described as following: JAMES KIM, age 35, is described as an Asian/Korean male, 5'09", 150 pounds, black hair, and brown eyes. KATI KIM, age 30, is described as a Caucasian female, 5'07", 125 pounds, brown hair, and hazel eyes. PENELOPE KIM is described as 4-year old female. SABINE KIM is only described as 7 months old.
