The new Intoxilyzer 8000 Breath Testing equipment was installed last week at multiple locations in Douglas, Josephine and Jackson County locations. The new equipment is replacing the Intoxilyzer 5000 models that have been in use for over twelve years. Intallation in other areas of the State is continuing to be phased in over the coming months.

Oregon State Police Forensic Services Division is installing nearly 130 Intoxilyzer 8000 Breath Testing equipment units, adding new equipment at 25 new locations in the State. The additional units will help make the breath testing equipment more readily available in many areas.
