Oregon State Police news releases are distributed via email to media and subscribing public through the FlashNews Network Internet service. The FlashNews/FlashAlert system gives you access to emergency messages, breaking news, and news releases. There is no charge to subscribe to receive Oregon State Police news releases. To subscribe, follow these steps:
1) Go to the FlashAlert.net website at www.flashalert.net.
2) Click on the link in the upper left corner mentioning "subscribe to"
3) Select a Region - click on "Portland"
4) Select an Organization - click on "Police & Fire"
5) Select "Oregon State Police" - fill in the Email address where you want to receive the news releases. Make sure you mark the 'News Releases" box.
