Application and Hiring Update, 1/17/2012
Hiring placed on hold at request of the Governor

At the request of the Governor, all hiring within the state of Oregon has been placed on hold. This hold affects all agencies including the Oregon State Police. As a result of this hold, the Entry Level Testing that was scheduled for February of 2012 has been canceled. We have been told that we may know more after March and we will re-evaluate our hiring plan once we get that information. We apologize for any inconvenience that has caused and thank you for your patience and continued interest in the Oregon State Police.

Email notices have been sent to applicants invited to the February 2012 Entry Level Testing advising that the E.L.T has been cancelled.

The Oregon State Police reached its goal of taking in over 800 applications on October 25th. The application was taken off-line at 2:00 p.m. after our application goals were exceeded. We understand that not everyone was able to apply during the short opening that we had. Thanks for your continued interest in the Oregon State Police.

In the mean time I would recommend preparing for the application opening by building an application profile in the State of Oregon E-Recruit System. Follow the link below to create an account and build your profile.
