Search Guidelines
When using these tools to search the Office of State Fire Marshal´s Community Right-to-Know (CR2K) information databases, please use the following as guidelines.
  • Spelling is important; if you spell a company or substance wrong, you will receive incorrect data.
  • Do not use wild cards as they will be considered part of the name.
  • Examples of proper searches are given with each search.

For hazardous substance searches, you may put in the first part of the name you know to be correct. The system will bring up all substances that contain those characters. If you run a search on a substance such as hydrogen, the listing will include every substance in the CR2K database that contains the word hydrogen, such as Hydrogen Bromide, Hydrogen Chloride, Hydrogen Fluoride and Hydrogen Peroxide.  For facility name searches you may put in the first part of the name you know to be correct. The system will bring up all facilities that begin with those characters.
