Fire prevention cooperatives are nonprofit interagency fire service groups engaged in fire prevention and public education within their communities. They promote an exchange of ideas, programs and resources in both wildland and structural fire prevention and public education. They also promote, coordinate, and actively support interagency participation in fire prevention activities.
