OREGON STATE FIRE MARSHAL (OSFM) INCIDENT SITUATION REPORT 1130 hours 25 July 2006 Prepared by Rich Hoover
OSFM REPORT TYPE OF INCIDENT: (Conflagration, flood, structural collapse) Conflagration INCIDENT NAME: McLean Creek Fire DATE AND TIME FIRE STARTED: 23 July 2006, time unknown For Conflagration: DATE AND TIME CONFLAGRATION DECLARED: 2010 hours 24 July 2006 requested by Baker County Commission Chair Fred Warner Jr. LOCATION: Eastern Baker County SIZE: On 24 July 2006 size was estimated to be 1,500 + acres. CAUSE: Lightning STATUS: Active: The fire is burning in grass and timber east of Halfway and one mile west of Oxbow, Oregon. The fire is burning along a three mile area along Hwy. 86 east of Halfway. RESIDENCES THREATENED: 60 homes in the community of Pine Creek STRUCTURES THREATENED: No other structures threatened RESIDENCES EVACUATED: Evacuation has not yet been called for however, the Baker County Sheriff’s office is available to assist evacuation efforts if necessary.
