Smoke Alarm Door-to-Door Campaign
Smoke Alarm Campaign
The Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) developed the model program The Invasion of the Smoke Alarms to assist local fire departments in planning and conducting community door-to-door smoke alarm campaigns.

The goals of the campaign are to:
  • Install smoke alarms in homes that are at high-risk for a fire and that do not have a working smoke alarm
  • Educate homeowners/residents on the importance of maintaining smoke alarms

OSFM is offering The Invasion of the Smoke Alarms door-to-door campaign workshop(s) at no cost for local fire departments and their community partners. Those attending the workshop will receive a free kit for the fire department. When the fire department's action plan for a door-to-door campaign is approved they will receive 50 free smoke alarms.

For more information on upcoming workshops, visit OSFM Training Opportunities.
