Correspondence Courses
CURRENT LIST OF APPROVED CORRESPONDENCE COURSES:
~Use this list if you are interested in taking courses for continuing education credit~

June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009 - Correspondence Courses for CE credit
 
Please check back frequently for updates.
 
NOTE:  If pending correspondence courses (courses listed in gray) are listed as approved for previous years, provided they have only been updated to current tax law, CE credit would be accepted for the new renewal cycle.  Look below for previous approval lists and contact the sponsors to verify whether the course was updated to current tax law or if changes made to the course require a new approval by the Board.

Additional Information
Correspondence courses must be approved by the Board, and on an active approval list at the time of license renewal in order to be accepted by the Tax Board for continuing education hours.

Remember that COPIES of continuing education certificates must be turned in ONLY when requested by audit.  (Please retain original certificates for your records).

For renewal of your license in 2008 (Preparer) & 2009 (Consultant) - Continuing Education Hours shall be accrued within the following date ranges:

Preparer – Sept. 1, 2007 thru renewal date. Your license expires 9/30/08 and you will no longer be able to provide services until you have renewed your license.  A reactivation fee of $35 will be assessed after October 15, 2008, and you must complete a Reactivation Application in lieu of your renewal application.
 
Consultant – May 1, 2008 thru renewal date. Your license expires 5/31/09 and you will no longer be able to provide services until you have renewed your license.  A reactivation fee of $35 will be assessed after June 15, 2009, and you must complete a Reactivation Application in lieu of your renewal application. In addition, if you hold a Business Registration your business is now closed and you must file a NEW Business Registration Application.
