Retired in January 2008 as Senior Vice-President after 33 years with Harry and David. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Britt Music Festival. Serves as a committee member on Oregon State University's College of Agriculture Dean's Capital Campaign Committee. Received a Bachelor's degree in Food Science from Oregon State University.

Served as board member or officer on a number of community groups including Tualatin River Water Quality Endowment Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation, Waterwatch of Oregon, Tualatin River Watershed Council, Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, and the Fernhill Wetlands Council. Received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in biology from the University of Oregon.

He currently serves as a board member on the Walla Walla Basin Watershed Council; board member on the Hudson Bay District Improvement Company (an irrigation district); board member on SOLV; and is a member of the Oregon State Bar. Received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Stanford University and a law degree from the Northwestern School of Law.
